Leah Reneeˆ Quelet of Hanover, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2021.
Born February 24, 2000 in Westminster, MD, she was the loving daughter of Jeff and Michelle Quelet, Hanover.
Leah graduated from Southwestern High School Class of 2018 and worked at Wee Care Best, Hanover as a Pre-K teacher. She recently started working at Children in Bloom, New Oxford. Leah enjoyed working with children and she loved her kids with all of her heart. A caregiver by nature, she was always helping those in need. She lived life passionately and had a great love for music and was an accomplished player of many stringed instruments.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brother, Jeffrey J. Quelet, Jr., Hanover; maternal grandmother, Linda Gail Wall, Hanover; cousins, Danielle and Raymond Rankin and their children, York, Justin Curry and family, Westminster, MD, Michael and Debbie Routh, Glen Burnie, MD and Lisa and Rodney Gluck, Baltimore, MD; aunt and uncle, Melissa and Larry Early and family, Biglerville; uncles, Steven Quelet and wife Deb, Coudersport, PA, Keith Quelet and wife Cathy, Bethlehem, PA, Kevin Quelet and wife Linda, Bel Air, MD and Paul Quelet, White Marsh, MD; very dear friend and partner, Jordan Otto and her beloved dogs, Stella, Casey, Willie, Pearl and Lady.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Francis M. "Mike" Wall, paternal grandparents, George M. and Doris G. Quelet and aunt and uncle, Laura and Daniel Curry.
A celebration of life service will be held Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 4 PM at Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle Street, Hanover with Pastor LaDonna Thomas officiating. A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will be on Tuesday from 2 to 4 PM at the funeral Home.
Due to COVID-19, we are asking all who attend the service to wear a mask and practice social distancing. If you are unable to attend the service, you may watch the service at www.wetzelfuneralhome.com . There will be a link at the top of Leah's obituary.
