Lester S. Eline, Jr., 51, of Gettysburg, passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at WellSpan Gettysburg Hospital after a courageous battle with kidney disease. He was the husband of Sarah Elizabeth Romero, Littlestown and Floral City, Florida

He was born April 27, 1970 in Hanover, the son of Shirley (Huff) Eline Hippensteel, Hanover and the late Lester Stanley Eline, Sr.

Jr. graduated from York Vo-Tech and started employment at Evapco, Inc, Taneytown, MD in 1994 where he was a maintenance mechanic.  He was proud of his years at Evapco and made many friends during those years he considered family.

His passion was working in the garage. He was a talented mechanic and teacher. He could frequently be found in the garage teaching his skill to his friends and children. He enjoyed camping trips, riding his Harley and cherished time with his family and friends. He was a member of the New Oxford Social and Athletic Club.

In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by his daughter, Noel Romero, Clearwater, FL; son, Andrew Burick and wife Kirstie, Littlestown; son, William Keller, Littlestown; sisters and brothers, Barbara Wildasin and husband Steve, Hanover, Robert Eline, Hanover, Barry Eline and companion Sandi Albright, New Oxford, Sandra Dubs and companion Scott Sanders, Gettysburg and Charlotte Hippensteel and companion Dan Messinger, Hanover and grandchildren Liam Burick, Luna Burick, Daniel Keller and Aiden Keller, as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister Pauline Hippensteel and step-father James Leroy Hippensteel.

A service to celebrate the life of Lester S. Eline, Jr. will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 11 AM at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover with Rev. Kirk A. Griffin officiating.  A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will be on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM and again on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the start of the service both at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Marburg Memorial Gardens, Hanover.  Serving as pallbearers will be Steve Wildasin, Scott Sanders, Jeff Sanders, Andrew Burick, Barry Eline, Bobby Eline, A.J. Warner and Bill Lease.
