Lillian E. Ruppert, 97, of Hanover, passed peacefully on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at home with her daughters by her side.  She was the loving wife of the late Joseph Francis Ruppert.

Born June 23, 1924 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Henry Charles and Emma (Conrad) Luerssen.

Mrs. Ruppert was a homemaker and worked at Schultze Photography in Baltimore.  An accomplished musician, she played the guitar, the banjo mandolin and had a beautiful singing voice.  A wonderful cook and baker, she was well known for her desserts.  She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing and cross-stitch.

She is survived by her children, Dorothy Jeanne Markowski, Hanover, Diane Lillian Mudd and husband Larry, Manchester, MD, Joseph Francis Ruppert, Jr., Street, MD and Lisa Darlene Metcalf, Brogue, PA; grandchildren, Caren Sealover, Camp Hill, PA, Jennifer Markowski, Pennsylvania, Amanda Snow, Parkville, MD, Elyse Metcalf, Brogue, PA, Krysta Metcalf, Brogue, PA and Jacob Metcalf, Brogue, PA; great grandchildren, Daniel Kazmaier, Camp Hill, PA, Thomas Snow, Baltimore, MD, Emma Markowski, Baltimore, MD, Savannah George, Camp Hill, PA and James Roach, Maryland and great, great grandchildren, Kayle Warner, Camp Hill, PA, Ryker Snow, Sparrows Point, MD and Everly Snow, Dundalk, MD.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Elenore Ruppert, great granddaughter, Heather Lee Cosgrove,  sisters, Dorothy Griffin and Edwina Griffin and brother, Richard Luerssen.

Mrs. Ruppert willed her body to the Humanity Gifts Registry, Philadelphia, PA.
