Obituary

Linda A. Leese, age 65, of McSherrystown, passed away suddenly at her home on October 4, 2023. She was born on February 6, 1958, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to her beloved mother, Betty L. (Stine) Carter, who resides in York, Pennsylvania, and the late Ellsworth M. Gange.

Linda is survived by her devoted companion, Lori Frior, who brought immeasurable happiness to her life. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her three cherished children: David Leese, Jr. of Hanover, Andy A. Leese and his companion Kelly Blouse of Windsor, PA, and Tammy Sue Leese.

Linda was the heart and soul of her family, and she is also survived by her siblings: Carl Phillips and his wife Pattie of Mt. Wolf, Dean Phillips of York, and Sally Lauchman of York. She had six adoring grandchildren, Jamison Leese, Jayden Leese, Justin Heffner, Kevin Heffner, Bryan Heffner, and Chad Heffner, and they will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

Linda was a beloved aunt to numerous nieces and nephews, as well as a cherished friend to many. Her warm and welcoming nature endeared her to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

In her free time, Linda found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a deep appreciation for all things Elvis-related, often immersing herself in the music and lore of the legendary King of Rock 'n' Roll. Linda also had a passion for fishing, finding serenity by the water's edge, and she loved to share her beautiful voice with others through her favorite pastime, karaoke.

Linda's dedication to her family was unwavering, and her love for them was boundless. Her legacy of love, kindness, and the importance of family will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, an organization that held a special place in Linda's heart, at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

At Linda's request, there will be no public viewing. Cremation services have been arranged, and a memorial service to celebrate her life will be announced at a later date. Linda A.
