Linda E. (Plunkert) Rebert, 78, of Hanover, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 25, 2024, at Hanover Hall. She was the loving wife of Dennis E. Rebert; with whom she shared a remarkable journey of 50 years filled with love, laughter, and mutual respect.

Born on Friday, May 25, 1945, in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Claude H. and Treva R. (Warner) Plunkert.

Linda's life was a testament to the power of love, from her marriage to Dennis to the warm, nurturing home she created for their children. Her passion for gardening and her talent for jarring foods were just a few aspects of her many talents as a homemaker. Linda took immense pride in caring for her family, making her home a haven of warmth and comfort. Linda's professional life was equally impressive, dedicating 29 years to the South Western School District as a cafeteria worker and 20 years to Lehigh's Greenhouse, where her love for plants and flowers could flourish.

In addition to her husband, Linda is survived by four daughters, Lori A. Reichart of Dillsburg, Kimberly S. Reichart of Dillsburg, Cheryl L. Gross and husband John of Spring Grove, Heather B. Brennen and her husband Kevin of Harrisburg; three grandchildren, Emily N. Urbine and her husband Shane, Jonathan P. Gross, and Riley E. Brennen; six siblings, Ruthanna Parsons, Janet Dayhoff, John Plunkert, Kenneth Plunkert, Calvin Plunkert, Edith Mummert, and many loving extended family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her first husband Donald I. Reichart, and three siblings, Robert Plunkert, Melvin Plunkert, and Vonetta Feltch.

A service to celebrate the life of Linda will be held at 12 pm on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, PA with Rev. Jerry Beers and Rev. David Breedlove officiating. A time to share memories with the family will be on Wednesday from 10:30 am until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover. Pallbearers will be, John Gross, Jonathan Gross, Kevin Brennen, Ronald Mummert, Lynn Miller, and Shane Urbine.
