Obituary

Lloyd Richard "Dick" Decker, 87 of York Springs passed away peacefully at Transitions Gettysburg on Wednesday, April 15, 2026.

Born December 17, 1938 in York Springs, he was a son of the late Lloyd A. and Maudzella M. (Eichelberger) Decker.

Dick served 2 years in the U.S. Marine Corps and was very proud of his service. He retired from Quaker Oats in Mechanicsburg after 31 years. He is fondly remembered for his love of gardening, photography, military history, and his retirement trip to Hawaii. He was also a life member of the NRA.

Dick is survived by four children: Lisa A. Decker and partner Glenn of York Springs, Cheri M. Rhinehart and husband Brian of Carlise, Robin L. Faircloth and husband Ronnie of York Springs, and Keith R Decker of New Oxford; 3 grandchildren: Brittany Dawley, Ashley Orndorff, and Cody Leer and 2 great grandchildren: Leo Dawley and Wyatt Orndorff. He is also survived by two siblings: Patricia A. Riley and Theodore Decker and wife Sharon, along with Betty Morrow, his former wife and mother of their four children.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Willam C. Decker and Rodney L. Decker.

A private memorial will be held by the family.
