Lynn A. "Kiicker" Kiick, 90, of Hanover, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at Hanover Hall. He was the loving companion of Jerine Kelly for more than 37 years, also of Hanover.
Born on Sunday, July 23, 1933, in Hanover, Lynn was a son of the late William H. and Esta B. (Garrett) Kiick.
Throughout his life, he held various memberships in numerous clubs and organizations, including the Hanover Lodge No. 227 Loyal Order of Moose, where he served as Governor for a short time, and the BPO ELKS 763, where he was a former Exalted Ruler. He was also a member of the McSherrystown Home Association, VFW Post 2506, AMVETS Post 22, American Legion Post 14, Republican Club of Hanover, Hanover Home Association, and Patmos Masonic Lodge No. 348.
Lynn enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years with his sons. He loved spending time with his family and friends, cherishing the moments they shared. He had a passion for the outdoors and found joy in visiting his sister's cabin, where he created many cherished memories filled with laughter and good times.
Lynn is survived by his companion Jerine Kelly; his sons Jeff Kiick and companion Judy Ryon of Hanover, and Greg Kiick of Manchester, MD; his stepchildren Pat McQueen and husband Bill of Hanover, Karen Kelly of York, and John Kelly and wife Deb of The Villages, FL. He is also survived by his grandchildren Jennifer, Haley, Jeffrey, Shiloh, Chris, Emily, Will, and Chanda; 12 great-grandchildren; and many loving extended family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, Lynn was preceded in death by his brothers Charles and Donald Kiick, his sisters Emily Walter and C. Rosalie Noel, and his grandson Christopher, and his daughter-in-law Kim Kiick.
A graveside service to celebrate the life of Lynn A. "Kiicker" Kiick will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at Rest Haven Cemetery, located at the intersection of Westminster and Boundary Ave., Hanover, PA. Pastor Steve Krenzer will officiate, and full military honors will be rendered by the Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be on Monday from 5-8 pm at the Wetzel Funeral Home & Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Roots for Boots, PO Box 213, New Oxford, PA 17350.
