Obituary

Margaret (Boyle) Annone, 96 of Garnet Valley passed away peacefully at Sunrise of Westtown in West Chester, PA on Friday, October 4, 2024.  She was the beloved wife of the late John G. Annone who passed away October 24, 2013.  Margaret was pre-deceased by her brothers Thomas Boyle and William Boyle.

Margaret was born November 20, 1927 at All Soul's Hospital in Morristown, NJ and later moved to Kearny, NJ then to Harrison, NJ.  She was a daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret (Kenny) Boyle who lived in Bayville, NJ at the time of their passing.

Mrs. Annone attended St. Cecilia Catholic School in Kearny, NJ and Holy Cross Catholic School in   Harrison, NJ then graduated from Harrison High School.  She was later active in Women's Clubs in West Paterson, NJ, Riverdale, NJ and Saw Creek in Bushkill, PA.  She was also active in PTA, Girl Scouts and Chilton Auxiliary.  In her career she worked as a secretary for the Interchemical Corporation in Hawthorne, NJ and later as a legal secretary in Law Offices in Newark, as well as Western Electric Company in Kearny.   Always embracing her faith she was a devout member of St. John's Catholic Church.

Margaret is survived by three children: John Annone and his wife Donna of Leland, NC, Diane Jones-Albright of Aldie, VA, Maureen Poling and her husband John of Garnet Valley, PA; three grandchildren: John Poling and his wife Beverly, Brian Poling and his wife Chelsey and Ashley Poling; two great-grandchildren: Callum Poling and Emilia Poling, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Margaret's life will be held at 11am on Tuesday, October 15th at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church; 6084 West Canal Road in Abbottstown, PA with Fr. Joseph Gotwalt officiating.  Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens in Gettysburg.  A time to gather with the family and share memories will also be on Tuesday at the Church from 10:30am until the start of the Mass.
