Fridinger
Oct 31, 1931 — Feb 10, 2026
Margaret Nadine "Nancy" Fridinger, 94, of Hanover, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at Tree of Life in Hanover. She was the loving wife of the late James Fridinger for 33 years until his passing on May 17, 1994.
Born October 31, 1931, at Hanover Hospital, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Kathryn (Hildebrand) Miller.
Nancy was a proud graduate of Eichelberger High School, Class of 1949. She dedicated her professional life to the accounting department of the former Hanover Wire Cloth, where she worked faithfully for 52 years until her retirement in 2002.
A woman of deep faith and service, Nancy was a longtime and devoted church member. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church and, prior to its merger, a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in McSherrystown. There she sang in the church choir for more than 60 years, taught Sunday School and Bible School for over 50 years, and served on numerous church committees. She also volunteered for 17 years with the Hanover Council of Churches PAL program.
Nancy enjoyed life's simple pleasures, especially reading and working word search puzzles.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Norma Kreidler, with whom she resided until she moved to Tree of Life in December of 2024, along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Carol Miller, Sandra Fridinger, and Linda Noel, and by her brother, Philip Miller.
A service to celebrate the life of Nancy will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at the Wetzel Funeral Home & Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, PA, with Rev. Kirk A. Griffin officiating. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be held Friday from 6–8 PM and again Saturday from 10 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hanover.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Miller, John Perdue, Jordan Perdue, Steven Perdue, Shawn Noel, and John Stough.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Tree of Life and to Grane Hospice for their compassionate care and support shown to Nancy.
