Margie Mae Utz, 90, of Hanover, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 12, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family and caregivers.  She was the beloved wife of Chester B. Utz, Sr. who died on May 15, 2019. Together they shared 70 years of marriage.

Born December 2, 1930 in Hanover, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Florence (Hamm) Dresher.

Margie was a homemaker and worked as a housekeeper for the R. H. Shepherd family for many years.  She was a lifetime member of St. David's Lutheran Church, Hanover where she was very active with WELCA and in the church kitchen.  Margie was a wonderful, loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed family gatherings and will be fondly remembered for her kindness, couponing and her baking.

Margie is survived by her four sons, Chester B. Utz, Jr., and wife Reva, Calhoun, GA, Gregory L. Utz, Hanover, Bradley E. Utz and wife Debra, Hanover and Brian A. Utz, Jonesboro, IN; sister, Wanda Gerber, Hanover; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Russell, Dean, Richard, Bud and Johnny Dresher and her sister Miriam (Dresher) Ecker.

A funeral service to celebrate Margie's life will be on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 10 AM at St. David's Lutheran Church, 1032 Musselman Rd, Hanover with Rev. Cynthia K. Baxter officiating. A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will be on Tuesday, November 16 ^th from 6 to 8 PM at Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover and again on Wednesday from 9 AM until the start of the service at the church.  Burial will be in St. David's Cemetery, Hanover.  Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Utz, Brian Utz, Brandon Utz, Ben Utz, Dru Rineman and Pat Rineman.
