Marian G. (Worley) Gladfelter, 84, of Hanover, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 1, 2024, at UPMC Pinnacle Hanover. She was the loving wife of John William Gladfelter of Hanover; together they shared 67 years of marriage.

Born November 13, 1939, in Littlestown, she was a daughter of the late George and Grace N. (Jones) Worley.

A homemaker by choice, Marian's heart found joy in nurturing children, delighting in their growth and experiences. Her love for flowers and gardening painted vibrant colors into her life, and her wanderlust led her alongside her husband on his band tours, where she found solace in song and dance. Family was the cornerstone of her world, and her devotion to her loved ones was boundless.

In addition to husband, Marian is survived by her son, Randy A. Gladfelter and his wife Tanya of Hanover; two grandchildren, Sara Kerns and husband Keith of Jefferson, Ryan Gladfelter and his wife Lyndsey of Spring Grove; three great grandchildren: Jack, Will, and Keira Kerns all of Jefferson; two brothers, Gary Worley, James Worley and his wife Lori, and many loving nieces and nephews, especially her niece Anita Trojnar and her family.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gladfelter was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda McCormick.

There will be no public viewing. A graveside service to celebrate the life of Marian will be held at 11 am on Friday, January 5, 2024, at Rest Haven Cemetery, intersection of Westminster and Boundary Ave., Hanover, PA with Rev. Cindy Orewiler officiating.
