Obituary

Marie L. (Fink) Cromer, 77, of Hanover, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 8, 2023, at the Gardens of Gettysburg. She was the loving wife of Gary L. Cromer; together they shared 57 years of marriage.

Born November 12, 1945, in Hanover, she was the daughter of the late Leo F. and Jane L. (Brier) Fink.

Marie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt; she cherished her family and loved spending time with them. Mrs. Cromer graduated from Southwestern High School in 1963 and then went on to be a bookkeeper and seamstress for various local businesses in Hanover. In her free time, Marie enjoyed riding bicycles, going on motorcycle rides, sewing, going to amusement parks, especially Dollywood, and having game night with her family and friends.

In addition to her husband, Marie is survived by her son, Troy A. Cromer and his wife Laura of Norfolk, VA; a granddaughter Alexandria N. Cromer of Conroe, TX; nephew, Chris Fink; nieces, Debra Reichart, Louise Sponseller, and Elaine Lawrence. Marie is also survived by many great nieces, great nephews, extended family members, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by a brother, Leo D. Fink and his late wife Shirley and a half sister, Thelma Kapp.

There will be no public viewing. Following cremation, a memorial service to celebrate the life of Marie L. Cromer will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 13, 2023 at New Hope Faith Community Church, 33 Sunday Dr., Hanover, PA with Pastor Jim Herbert officiating. A time to share memories with the family will be on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. A private family burial will be in Marburg Memorial Gardens, Hanover.
