Marie Toot (née Sanders) passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at the age of 88.

A lifelong resident of Hanover, PA, Marie was a graduate of Delone Catholic High School. Marie was a devoted Catholic whose life was centered on her faith and her family. She found great joy in tending to her home and garden, and expressing her love for those around her through her cooking and baking.

She was predeceased by her parents, Mildred Sterner (née Lawrence) and John Sanders; her beloved husband, Lynn Toot; and her son, Keith Toot. Her legacy of love continues through her surviving family: her sons, Tim (Anne) Toot and Doug (Carolyn Schreiber) Toot; her daughter-in-law, Sandy Toot; and her four cherished grandchildren, Jessie Kang, Randy Toot, James Gilbert, and Jeremy Gilbert.

Marie was a parishioner of St. Vincent de Paul Parish. In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to the American Cancer Society and the National Kidney Foundation, in honor of Marie's wishes.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM on Friday, June 5,2026 in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 220 3rd St., Hanover, PA 17331.

Inurnment will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, PA.
