Obituary

Mark Earl Miksich, 63, passed away on Friday, September 13th, 2019. He is survived by his wife, Zoraida, and his four loving children, Lisa (Maria), Andy Miksich, Matthew, and Jacobe. He is survived by three grandchildren, Aiden, Mia, and Sienna Livelsberger, who brought him so much joy. Mark was also survived by three siblings, Kathy, David, and Clara. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earla and Ivan, and his step-father Curtis Weyant. Mark also had additional step-siblings, Bruce, Lois, Carol, Cathy, and Diane.

Born on April 28, 1956, Mark was originally from Emporium, PA. He was a 1974 graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School located in Fishertown, PA. He was the star center on the basketball team and voted "Class Clown" and "Most Talkative" his senior year.

Mark was a veteran of the United States Air Force, which allowed him to travel throughout the world, especially the Philippines, where he met his wife Zoraida and his daughter, Maria (who he called Lisa). He retired in 1995 and moved his family from Travis Air Force Base in Vacaville, California, back to Fishertown, PA. He loved Steelers and Penn State Football, camping, and watching his children and grandchildren participate in any type of activity whether it be soccer games or chorus concerts.

Mark lived to see his children succeed and pursue happiness. He was a source of endless support, always, the optimist. Mark would do anything to help out a friend in need. One of his most recent accomplishments was being put in remission from cancer, which he had been diagnosed with and fighting since 2014. His children believed that their father was the strongest man alive.

A celebration of life will be scheduled in the future for family and friends to gather and remember Mark's life.
