Mary Ellen Melhorn, 83, of Hanover, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at SpiriTrust Lutheran, The Village at Utz Terrace.

Born on Monday, April 21, 1941, in Bedford, she was the beloved daughter of the late Rev. George Ira Jr. and Verna Mary (Waybright) Melhorn. Mary Ellen was known for her deep love of all animals, especially cats and her cherished collection of dolls, which brought her joy throughout her life.

Mary Ellen is survived by her devoted brother, Noel Melhorn, and his wife Eileen of Media, PA. She also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will remember her fondly.

In addition to her parents, Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her two brothers, Frederick Robert Melhorn and George Ira Melhorn, III.

A private burial will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hanover, with no public viewing. The family appreciates your understanding during this time.
