Maryanne L. (Gerhart) Seachrist, 90 of Abbottstown passed away peacefully at home on Friday, March 4 ^th , 2022.  She was the beloved wife of West W.B. Seachrist.

Born December 15, 1931 in Dillsburg, she was a daughter of the late William M. Gerhart and Nettie I. (Seifert) Gerhart, and raised by Raymond Deardorff.

Maryanne attended Red Run Church every Sunday as a child, and retired from High Mark. She enjoyed nature, shopping, peacocks and the outdoors.

In addition to her husband, Maryanne is survived by 4 siblings: George Deardorff and his wife, Donna of East Berlin, William Gerhart of Florida, Edna Combs of Dover, PA and Margaret Bankert of Hanover; stepson, Craig Seachrist of WVa., stepdaughters, Debbie West of GA, Rochelle Harter of PA, as well as several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and step-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepdaughter, Melissa Seachrist, who is laid to rest in Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

Services to celebrate Maryanne's life will be held in private.

Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzel Funeral Home & Crematory in Hanover.
