Michael A. "Grizz" Bair, Sr., 72 of Hanover passed away at home on Sunday, November 24, 2024.

Born July 19, 1952 in Hanover, he was a son of the late Richard B., Sr. and Mildred P. (Luckenbaugh) Bair.

Mr. Bair is fondly remembered as an easy-going, quiet soul.  His life's passion was drag-racing, especially at Mason-Dixon and South Mountain Dragway.  He cherished spending time with his family, especially racing with his brothers.  He also enjoyed antiquing and expanding his vast collections, and could often be found listening to the Carlisle Yard Sale on the radio.

Michael is survived by three children: Tina M. Bair of Abbottstown, Michelle A. Sirk and her fiancé David Harman of Taneytown, MD and Michael A. Bair, Jr. and his wife Missy of Hanover; six grandchildren: Heather Metka and her husband Michael of Dillsburg, Chad Hockensmith of Abbottstown, Maverick Bair and his fiancé Kirsten Klunk of Hanover, Austin Sirk of Gettysburg, Mason Bair of Hanover and Molly Bair of Hanover; two siblings: Richard "Dick" Bair and his wife Norma and Robert Bair and his wife Chris, his good friend Gladys Knouse and his ex-wife Theresa Brewer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six siblings: Johnny, Mildred, Shirley, Tom, Joe and Harold.

A graveside service to celebrate Michael's life will be held at 11:30am on Monday, December 2nd at Marburg Memorial Gardens; 2150 Grandview Rd. in Hanover with Rev. Cindy Orewiler officiating.  Guests are encouraged to arrive at the cemetery by 11:15am.
