Michael W. Stump, 69 of Hanover passed away peacefully at UPMC Pinnacle Memorial Hospital in York on Sunday, September 26, 2021.  He was the beloved husband of Anna M. (Becker) Stump.

Born August 11, 1952 in Bluefield, VA, he was a son of the late Michael W. and Goldie M. (Dye) Stump.

Michael is fondly remembered as an easy-going guy.  He retired from both Sears and from the Hanover School District.  In his free time, he enjoyed boating, camping and riding his Harley.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Stump is survived by 2 sons: Justin W. Stump and his wife, Shawna of Hanover and Ian W. Stump of Hanover; 1 step-granddaughter, Faith, as well as his faithful and beloved dog, Powder.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Patton Stump as well as other siblings.

A funeral service to celebrate Michael's life will be held at 11am on Thursday, September 30 ^th , 2021 at Wetzel Funeral Home & Crematory; 549 Carlisle St. in Hanover with Pastor Ed Brower officiating. Interment will follow in Marburg Memorial Gardens in Hanover.  A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 29 ^th from 6-8pm, and again on Thursday morning from 10am until the start of the service.
