Obituary

Millie Josephine Hochheimer, of Hanover, entered into God's eternal care on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at 1:38 a.m. in the NICU at UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg.

Born to Shawn J. and Bridget M. (Brooks) Hochheimer, Millie is also survived by her loving sisters, Octavia and Bexleigh Hochheimer.

Though Millie's time here on earth was brief, she was surrounded by the boundless love of her parents, family, and the grace of Jesus Christ. As scripture reminds us in Jeremiah 1:5, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you," and in Matthew 19:14, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." While there are many questions of what her precious life may have held, we find comfort in knowing she now rests peacefully in the arms of Jesus until we are reunited again.

In addition to her parents and sisters, Millie is lovingly remembered by her grandparents: Karen and Jim Ward; Gerald Brooks and Sheri Kenton; Julia and Dave Babka; and Gordon and Rena Hochheimer.

She is also survived by her extended family, including Courtney and Charles Stinchcomb and their children, Cameryn and Chase; Paige and Kevin Fehntrich and their children, Marleigh, George, Vito, and Henry; Wendy Swift; Butch Brooks; and Adelle Ward.

Millie was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Shirley Brooks "Mommom", Josephine Hochheimer "Grandma Jo", Millard McCleary, and Bill Ward; and numerous other great grandparents and extended family members. She was lovingly named in honor of her great great grandfather and great grandmother.

A service to celebrate Millie will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 27, 2026 at Grace Church of Hanover, 55 Albright Drive, Hanover, with Rev. Todd Christine officiating. A time to share memories and offer support to the family will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Manchester, Maryland.
