Monique Jacqueline Nicole Figueroa, 43, of Hanover, formerly of Gilbert, AZ, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at UPMC Hanover. She was the loving wife of Dan Figueroa; together they shared 8 years of marriage.
Born April 25, 1979 in Los Angeles, CA, she was a daughter of Michelle Erickson of Hudson, CO.
Monique loved music from the 70's, some of her favorite artists were Atlantic Rhythmic Section, James Taylor and Willie Nelson to name a few. She loved sci-fi and enjoyed binge watching Star Trek, Game of Thrones or anything in the realm of science fiction and fantasy. Nikki enjoyed life to the fullest and treasured her family and friends, she loved going on cruises and seeing the world, but most of all she enjoyed quiet nights at home with her husband and son. She was a California girl at heart, born in Southern California and raised in the surrounding areas, she enjoyed days relaxing on the beach with the wind in her hair.
In addition to her mother and husband, Monique is survived by her son, Brennen Carr of Hanover; four siblings, Brandi Karst of Gilbert, AZ, Molly Heller of Brighton, CO, Eric Burman of Hudson, CO, Thor Burman of Thorton, CO; one grandchild and many loving extended family members and friends.
A service to celebrate the life of Monique will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at the Classroom Building at Codorus State Park, 1958 Marina Drive Hanover, PA with Rev. Dwight Schlaline officiating. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the Classroom Building. To get to the Classroom Building, please head southeast on PA-216 E toward Codorus State Park, turn left onto Marina Rd., continue straight onto Marina Dr. Classroom Building will be on the right at the end of the road.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Monique's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
