Nadine entered her Eternal home on Sunday morning Dec 27 2020 at Transitions Healthcare in Gettysburg where she had been a resident since July 2019. She previously resided in Akron PA in Lancaster County for many years.
She was born February 4, 1931 in Deep Run Maryland to Theodore J Myers and Edna (Hilker) Myers and was the last member of her immediate family.
Nadine was predeceased by her half-brother Cleathon Myers, and siblings Bessie (Myers) Wentz, Norman Myers, Thelma (Myers) Tawney, Raymond Myers, Marvin Myers, Mary (Myers) Leppo, Kathryn (Myers) Varnell, and David Myers. She was also predeceased by several nieces and nephews: Gordon Myers, Eddie Myers, Carolyn (Varnell) Krichten, Virginia (Wentz) Dusman, and Cleathon A. Myers.
She is survived by nieces and nephews Wanda (Myers) Dorsey, Eugene Myers, Joseph Myers, Beverly (Varnell) Hoffman, Jeannette (Varnell) Chronister, Bill Varnell, Linda (Leppo) Sanders, Brenda Myers, Susan (Myers) Zamudio, Karen (Myers) Wood and Denise (Myers) Aughinbaugh as well as numerous great nieces and nephews.
Nadine was a 1948 graduate of Manchester High School in Manchester, MD and a 1971 graduate of Lancaster School of the Bible. She was a member of St David's UCC in Hanover and a former active member of Akron Grace E.C. Church.
She was very active in the Christian Endeavor Society and traveled to many County, State, and International Conventions including Germany, China and Africa. Nadine was involved in Missionary Work in Kentucky and volunteered annually at her church's Bible School. She sang with her sisters in the Myers Sisters Quartets at various churches in the past.
Nadine was a talented seamstress, having worked at Doneckers Store in Ephrata and at her sewing shop, Aunt Dean's Sewing Room in Akron.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Wetzels Funeral Home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
