Nancy Gilbert Stottlemyer, 73, of Hanover, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg. She was the loving wife of the late Robert Gilbert and Eugene Stottlemyer.

Born Friday, May 2, 1947 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late John G. and Mildred M. (Miller) Herring.

Nancy was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother; she loved her family and cherished spending time with them, especially her grandkids and great grandkids. Nancy was a member of the McSherrystown Moose and enjoyed playing bingo, going out to eat and playing the lottery.

Mrs. Stottlemyer is survived by two children, Robin M. (Gilbert) Sheely of Hanover, Jon R. Gilbert and his fiancé Nickol Williams of East Berlin; five grandchildren, Brett "Reckless" Small and wife Erin Underwood, McKenzie Sheely, Erika Sheely, Sabrina Reichard, Jaxsyn Stottlemyer; five great grandchildren, Braelynn, Brooklynn, Rielynn, Maddex, Dominic and Remedy; two siblings Shirley Huff of New Oxford, Barry Herring of New Oxford an many other loving extended family members and friends. Nancy is also survived by her loving dog, Lucky.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Nancy was preceded in death by two brothers, Stanley and Roy Herring.

A service to celebrate the life of Nancy will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 29, 2021 at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, PA with Rev. Tim Brown officiating. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be on Thursday from 6-8 p.m.  and then again on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Marburg Memorial Gardens, Hanover.
