Nevah W. "Bill" Eckard Jr., 75, of Gettysburg, passed away suddenly at his home on Tuesday, August 2, 2022. He was the loving husband of Elizabeth A. (Simmons) Eckard of Littlestown.

Born December 16, 1946, in Finksburg, MD, he was the son of the late Nevah W. Sr. and Bessy E. (Winters) Eckard.

Nevah was a devoted father and avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting in his spare time.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Eckard is survived by four daughters, Teresa Hamme and her husband of Hanover, Delessa Waugh of Hanover, Dana Eckard of Arendtsville, and Cheyenne Eckard of Littlestown, two sons, Nevah W. "RJ" Eckard III of Hanover, and William "Cody" Eckard of Littlestown, several grandchildren, and one brother, Thomas Eckard.

In addition to his parents, Nevah was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

There will be no public viewing. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
