Nevin J. Garrett, Sr., 95 of Salisbury, MD, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at the Wicomico Nursing Home in Salisbury. He was the loving husband of the late Margaret V. "Peggy" (Beard) Garrett, who passed away July 26, 1995.

Born January 10, 1927 in Hanover, PA, he was a son of the late Clarence J. "Max" and Beulah Mae (Leese) Garrett.

Mr. Garrett Graduate of Hanover High School in 1944 and then went on to serve in the United States Navy during WWII; he then was employed by Swam Electric Co in Hanover until his retirement.

Nevin is survived by his companion of 26 years, Dorothy Norris of Salisbury, MD; his son, Nevin J. Garrett Jr. and his wife Pamela B. of Lincoln, RI; grandchildren, Amanda Naddaf, Nicholas Garrett both of Lincoln, RI; four great grandchildren all of Lincoln, RI and three siblings, Teresa Phillips of Hanover, PA, Athena Good of Hanover, PA and Grayson Garrett of Albuquerque, NM.

There will be no public viewing. Following cremation, a memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Garrett will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, PA with Rev. Dr. Daniel M. Yeiser officiating. A time to share memories with the family will be on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hanover.
