Norma Irene (Hurst) Sipling, 74 of Hanover, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at UPMC Pinnacle in Hanover. She was the loving wife of the late Louis Thomas Sipling; together they shared 50 years of marriage before his passing in 2023.

Born July 16, 1949 in York County, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Ruth (Bortner) Hurst.

Norma was a graduate of Spring Grove High School, Spring Grove, and worked over 20 years at Hanover Foods Corporation, Hanover.

Norma cherished the beauty of flowers, often taking joy in the simple pleasure of watching them bloom. Ladybugs were another favorite and she would often share stories of their charming antics with family and friends. But most of all, she adored her loyal companion, Sara, her faithful dog who was always by her side through thick and thin.

Norma is survived by her daughters, Cindy Sipling of Littlestown, Sandra Wickard of Mount Holly Springs, and Jamie Palmer and husband Sheridan of York; grandchildren, Autumn Frock, Braylyn Schlining, Harrison Palmer, and James Palmer; and great grandchildren, Adalynn Schlining and Marcus Hill, III and one on the way.

In addition to her parents and husband, Norma was preceded in death by her brothers, Walter "Jack" and Robert A. Hurst.

In accordance with Norma's wishes, there will be no public viewing or services. Her family takes comfort in knowing that she is now surrounded by love and peace.
