Pat, the loving wife of Robert Lehigh (DOD 1-3-2016), peacefully passed on to reconnect with her heavenly family on June 3, 2022 in Fort Myers FL. The daughter of the late Nadine and Earl Berwager, Pat was born into this world on October 24, 1940 at Bear Avenue in Hanover PA at her grandmother's Latera Garvick's house. As a member of Grace United Church of Christ in Hanover, she accepted Jesus as her lord and savior. She graduated from Eichelberger High School in 1958. While in High School she was a member of the cooking and typing clubs and a cheerleader for the Nighthawks. Pat graduated from Maryland Medical Secretarial School in 1959 and worked at Walter Reed Army Hospital before being employed as a medical secretary for the Hanover Cardiology group led by Dr. Bernard Bathon in Hanover PA for 35years.
Pat was a loving mother and is survived by her two children Scott Lehigh (Jan) of Jefferson Hills, PA. and Mitch Lehigh, (Karen) of Loveland CO. She was also a loving grandmother and survived by her four grandchildren Chase and Chad Lehigh (Scott) and Lauren and Katelyn Lehigh (Mitch) and a sister to Michael Berwager (Sandy) of Tyrone PA and Thomas Berwager (Giselle) of Louisville KY, and numerous, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pat was preceded in death by her grandparents Emory and Mary Berwager and Wesley and Latura Garvick, parents Earl and Nadine Berwager, brother Ronald Berwager, husband Robert Lehigh and grandson Scottie Lehigh.
Pat was an amazing wife/mother/grandmother, cook/baker, and avid sports fan, and cherished time with her grandchildren. She was affectionately known as the fudge lady for the 20 plus years that she spent on the Eastern Shore in Ocean City MD, and held a special place in her heart for her Hanover friends that she shared in a card club for over 30 years. We are all blessed to know her love and support. She and her world famous fudge and sugar cookies will be missed by all. We know there will be extra desserts at the dinner table in Heaven for the foreseeable future. A celebration of her life will held on July 30, 2022 at 11:00 AM with a graveside service at Rest Haven Cemetery. All will be welcome to a lunch post services at a location to be determined. In lieu of flowers Pat wanted any donations to be made to SIDS.ORG in honor of herself and her grandson Scottie Lehigh.
