Patricia L. Strausbaugh, 76 of Abbottstown passed away at UPMC Harrisburg on Sunday, February 13, 2022.  She was the beloved wife of Irvin R. Strausbaugh, with whom she shared 57 years of marriage.

Born June 15, 1945 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Beatrice (Bittinger) Freeman.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by 5 children: Richard Strausbaugh and his wife, Tammy of New Oxford, Donna Smith and her husband, Douglas of New Oxford, Keith Strausbaugh and his wife, Lisa of Hanover, Kevin Strausbaugh of Spring Grove and Thomas Strausbaugh and his wife, Sherri of Hanover; 4 siblings: Gary Freeman and his wife, Genny of Spring Grove, Judy Smith and her husband, James of Hanover, Dawn Bankert and her husband, Clinton of Hanover and Randall Freeman of Hanover, as well as 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Lois E. Groft and her grandson, Nathaniel Strausbaugh.

A funeral service to celebrate Patricia's life will be held on Thursday, February 17 ^th at 11am at Wetzel Funeral Home & Crematory; 549 Carlisle St. in Hanover.  Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hanover.  A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will also be on Thursday at the funeral home from 9am until the start of the service.
