Obituary

Patricia Ann (Sutter) Snyder, 84 of Hanover, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at UPMC Pinnacle of Hanover, surrounded by her family. Born January 20, 1939 in Fremont, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Godfrey Sutter and Miriam Adell (Humphrey) Sutter.

Patricia graduated from Oak Harbor High School in Ohio and she went on to marry her first husband and traveled the world while he served in the Navy. They started a family and she had her first three children in different parts of the world. They parted ways and she remarried to have one more child. Years later, they would also part ways and she would eventually remarry and move to Hanover, PA. All three of Nancy's husbands served their county; two of them served in the United States Navy and one served in the United States Army.

Patricia was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother; she loved her family and cherished spending time with them. In her free time, Patricia enjoyed traveling, sewing, gardening, crocheting, keeping up with family on Facebook, and researching her genealogy.

Patricia is survived by her daughters Susan Ball-Leon and husband Antonio of Manchester, MD, Stephanie Lamont and husband Mike of Bonneauville, PA, Michelle Frederick and husband Brian of Park City, UT; and son Brian Ball and wife Lydia of Glennville, PA. She is survived by eight grandchildren; Angela, Monica and Michael Lamont; Brent, Brock and Abby Ball; Korinna Frederick and Antonio F. Leon. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren; Gage and Brody Ball; Cambrie, Savanna and Rowen Lamont; Cali and Colin Lamont; Marley, Dulaney, Bella, Cruz and Adiyah Leon.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents Arthur Godfrey and Miriam Adell (Humphrey) Sutter, as well as her late husband John Snyder.

A service to celebrate the life of Patricia will be held at 11 am on Monday, May 22, 2023
at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, PA.  A viewing and time to share memories with the family will take place prior to the service at 10 am at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Silver Run, MD.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hanover Area Fire and Rescue Clover Lane Station, 204 Clover Lane, Hanover, PA 17331.
