Paul Reed McGhee, 73 of Hanover passed away at home on Sunday, December 1st, 2024. He was the beloved husband of the late Wanda D. (Smith) McGhee who passed away November 30, 2017.

Born July 5, 1951 in Alesia, MD, he was a son of the late Isaac G. and Sylvia M. (Whalen) McGhee.

Mr. McGhee was a 1971 graduate of North Carroll High School and spent a long career in maintenance with Random House in Westminster, MD, retiring in 2018. He enjoyed reading, gardening and cherished spending time with family above all else.

Paul is survived by his children: Lavina McGhee & boyfriend Jim Morningstar and Rodger McGhee; two stepchildren: Diane Kollosch, married to Hope, William Rohrbaugh, married to Deena and Tracy Smith.; eight grandchildren: Amanda, Chainey, Megan, Dani, Casi, David, Jimmy and Ethan; 13 great-grandchildren: Kaylee, Athena, Skylynn, Remi, JB, LynnLee, Tristan, Lilly, Ophelia, Layla, Benjamin, Jace and Audrey; four siblings: Stephen McGhee, Martin McGhee, Robert McGhee and Sarah Wagner, as well as 13 nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings: James McGhee, Becky Hickman and Resa McGhee.

A memorial service to celebrate Paul's life will be held in private by his family.
