Paul Joseph Walko, 62, of Hanover, passed away embraced in the loving arms of his wife and children on Friday, September 2, 2022 at UPMC, Hanover Hospital after a short and unfortunate battle with lung cancer.

Born January 28, 1960 in Trenton, NJ, he was the son of the late Joseph Paul and Rosemarie (Gushanas) Walko.

Paul was a National Account Fleet Service Manager with Navistar for 30 years, where he served as company liaison for administrative and engineering discrepancies.  Above all he was a loving husband and extraordinary father. Paul always put the needs, wants, and dreams of his children first.  His children were the light of his life and he was so very proud of each of them and showed it every day. He supported every one of their endeavors with loving, cultivating advice. His warm, kind, understanding soul will be truly missed.

He is survived by his faithful wife of 35 years, Donnagail (D'Amico) Walko, Hanover; children, Luke A. Walko, Peachtree City, GA, Jesse D. Walko, Hanover and Miranda S.D. Walko, Hanover; sister, Theresa Kahrs and husband Jim, Morris Plains, NJ; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Dr. Donald and Gail D'Amico, Hanover; nieces; nephews; and in-laws who will miss him dearly.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his brother, Joey Walko and sister, Dolores Farrer.

A viewing and a time to share memories with the family will be on Thursday, September 8th from 6 to 8 PM at Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle Street, Hanover, PA.  There will be an additional viewing the following morning, Friday, September 9th at 10 AM, followed by a service at 11 AM with Father Samuel Miller officiating.  Burial will be private.
