Yoho
Apr 15, 1941 — Feb 5, 2025
Pearl I. (Luckenbaugh) Yoho, 83, of Orrtanna, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Ronald James Yoho, with whom she shared 20 wonderful years of marriage before his passing on August 31, 2018.
Born on April 15, 1941, in Hanover, Pearl was the daughter of the late Albertus Allen Luckenbaugh and Pearl Irene (Becker) Luckenbaugh.
Pearl was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She cherished her family and found joy in every moment spent with them. A hardworking and dedicated woman, she was employed by Hanover Foods for 16 years and later worked for Schaad Detective Agency for three years. She was a longtime member of First Lutheran Church in New Oxford and had a deep passion for genealogy, spending many hours tracing her family's history.
In her younger years, Pearl enjoyed roller skating and had an adventurous spirit, which led her to become an avid motorcyclist. She was a proud member of the Harley Owners Group (HOG) of York and found great joy in riding.
Pearl is survived by her children, Wesley Allan Emlet, Sr. and his wife Anita of Orrtanna, and Deborah R. Acevedo and her husband Daniel of Gettysburg; seven grandchildren; and many loving great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Rosella Slothour and Louise Slothour and her great granddaughter, Destiny Marie Eckenrode.
Honoring Pearl's wishes, there will be no public viewing or services. Burial will take place privately at Rest Haven Cemetery in Hanover at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Guthrie Memorial Library, 2 Library Place, Hanover, PA 17331, in honor of Pearl's love for learning and history.
