Phyllis J. (Lockner) Cunningham, 79, of McSherrystown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at her home. She was the loving companion of James R. Stover; the love she had for him was unconditional for 27 years.

Born May 11, 1942 in Littlestown, she was a daughter of the late David E. and Emma A. (Riebling) Lockner.

Phyllis enjoyed traveling, going to the mountains, the beach, fishing, dancing, eating out and playing cards with family and friends.

She cared deeply for her family and loved spending time cheering on her grandchildren at sporting events.

In addition to her companion, Phyllis is survived by her children, Randy Dell and his wife Sandy of New Oxford, Robin Pittinger and her husband Scott of Hanover, Pennie Gilbert and her husband Doug of Mt. Holly Springs; a stepdaughter, Crystal Kline and her husband Alan of Hanover; daughters of James, Ethia Miller and her husband Jeremy of Arendtsville, Janaia Kline and her husband Chad of Arendtsville; 12 grandchildren, Tabitha Manzo and her husband Herman, Adam Dell and his wife Oleksandra, Brittany Luckenbaugh and her husband Mark, Tiffany Dell, Erika Cullison, Sierra Kline, Kyle Kline, Trevor Stover, Mya Miller, Dustin Miller, Wyatt Kline, Ashlyn Kline; nine great grandchildren; three brothers, Emory Lockner, Dave Lockner and Adam Lockner. Phyllis is also survived by many loving extended family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her first husband, Jim Dell; second husband, Ralph Cunningham and a sister, Darlene Lockner.

A service to celebrate the life of Phyllis J. (Lockner) Cunningham will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 9, 2021 at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, PA with Rev. Amy Wagner officiating. A time to share memories with the family will be on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hanover. Pallbearers will be; Randy Dell., Erika Cullison, Wyatt Kline, Daniel Gilbert, Adam Dell, Adam Lockner and Herman Manzo.
