Phyllis E. (Erb) Klinefelter, 82 of Hanover passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on Friday, October 23rd, 2026.

Born November 11, 1943 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late George E., Sr. and Alice M (Kling) Erb.

Phyllis is fondly remembered for her kind spirit, always willing and ready to help anyone in need. In addition to her career as a dietary aid for home healthcare patients, she also served and participated in her community as a member of AMVETS and the Hanover Eagles. In her spare time, she was an avid BINGO player.

Phyllis is survived by two children: Sheldon E. Klinefelter and his companion Veronica Church of Hanover, and Vicky L. Dell and her husband Kevin of Hanover; three grandchildren: Shawn, Tyler and Kirsten; three sisters: Martha M. Wiles, Sandra J. McWilliams and Margaret M. Warner, all of Hanover, as well as many loving extended family and many friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara A. Arnold, as well as five siblings; Janet, George Jr., Mary, Wayne and Donna.

A funeral service to celebrate Phyllis’ life will be held at 7pm on Wednesday, October 28th at Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc.; 549 Carlisle St. in Hanover with Rev. Kenneth Martz officiating. A visitation with the family and an opportunity to view will also be on Wednesday evening at the funeral home from 5pm until the start of the service.
