Ralph E. Laughman, 65, of Hanover, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at his home.  He was the husband of Rebecca Ann (Bossom) Laughman, East Berlin.

Born July 11, 1958 in Hanover, he was the son of the late Charles Edward Laughman and the late Edna Elizabeth (Miller) Laughman Small.

Ralph was a self-employed contractor and "jack of all trades".  He was always willing to help on a moment's notice and would give you the shirt off his back.  Ralph attended the monthly service at the Adams Rescue Mission, Gettysburg and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  Aside from his natural born family, there was no one like his "pizza family" at Rocco's Pizza, East Berlin.

In addition to his wife, Ralph is survived by his daughter, Laura Laughman, York; brothers, Charles E. Laughman, Jr. and wife Jean, Horntown, VA, Lloyd L. Laughman, York, Blakely Laughman, Frazeysburg, OH, Tilman R. "Tim" Laughman and wife Jean, Gettysburg, Michael Laughman and wife Chantel, Gettysburg and Eric J. Laughman and wife Katrina, York Springs; sisters, Charlene L. McKinsey, Utica, OH and Rachel Ziranski and husband Bill, Newark, OH; sister-in-law, Joy Laughman, St. Louisville, OH; grandchildren, Taylor and Kyle Laughman and great grandchildren, Kaiden Torres and Kaisley and Kyon Poe.

Ralph was preceded in death by his brother Maurice "Poncho" Laughman and half-brother, Sam Laughman.

A service to celebrate the life of Ralph E. Laughman will be held on Monday, October 9, 2023 at 11 AM at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover with Rev. Glenn Miller officiating. The family will receive friends and share memories on Monday from 10 AM until the start of the service at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Mummert's Meeting House Cemetery, Abbottstown.  Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Laughman, Tim Laughman, Blake Laughman, Eric Laughman, Kyle Laughman, Nehemiah Laughman, Derek Laughman and Rocco DeVita.
