Rauland E. "Jake" Hancock, 91, of Hanover, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2022 at Hanover Hall.  He was the loving husband of Gladys M. (Stair) Hancock who died December 1, 2007.

Born August 26, 1930 in Girad, IL, he was the son of the late Elmer and Effie (Burgess) Hancock.

Jake retired from George H. Bixler Plumbing where he was employed for over 30 years.  He was a member of Barts Centenary United Methodist Church, Littlestown and enjoyed country and gospel music.  Jake especially enjoyed riding his John Deere tractor.

He is survived by his sons, Harold "Harry" Hancock and wife Diane, Hanover and Richard Hancock and wife Brenda, Hanover; brother, Arnold "Mick" Hancock, South Carolina; six grandchildren, Chad, Tawny, Kristin, Jim, Bill and Ashley and 10 great grandchildren, Kaylee, Dawson, Hudson, Alivia, Akiria, Dante, Christina, Madison, Jaxson and Kolten.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Tressa Lescalleet, Odessa Bailie, Blanche Howell and Olin Hancock.

A funeral service will be held Monday, June 6, 2022 at 11 AM at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle Street, Hanover with Pastor Tammy Blose officiating.  A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will be on Monday from 10 to 11 AM at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover.  Serving as pallbearers will be Chad Hancock, Tawny Hancock, Jim Hatfield, John Fuhrman and Chris Arnold.
