Obituary

Raymond E. "Killer" Miller, at the age of 100, passed peacefully, on Friday, August 2nd, 2024 at Homewood at Plum Creek, Hanover.  He was the husband, for 66 years, to the late Dorothy "Dottie" (Loyer) Miller who passed on March 29, 2014. Born October 21st, 1923 in Hanover, he was the son of the late Charles E. and Florence Viola May (Alban) Miller.

Raymond was a graduate of Eichelberger High School, class of 1941. He served his country proudly during WWII in the U.S. Air Force and served in the 8th Air Force base with Jimmy Stewart. Ray, was then employed for 38 years with P.H. Glatfelter, Spring Grove, serving as a production manager and later as a scheduling engineer. He was a member of Double Dollar Investment Club, the first of its kind in Hanover.  Ray also enjoyed gardening azaleas and rhododendrons and was a Bronze medal winner of the American Rhododendron Society.

Ray is survived by his daughter Pamela A. Mosher and her husband Robert, of Hanover and son Thomas O. Miller of Hanover, and his grandson John R. Mosher of Hanover.  He was preceded in death by two brothers Bob and Eugene Miller.

The Funeral Service will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.  For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made in Ray's memory to The Homewood Benevolent Fund, 425 Westminster Ave., Hanover, PA 17331.
