Richard "Rick" Leon Brown, Jr., 74, of Hanover, went home to be with his beloved wife and son, Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at the WellSpan Gettysburg Hospital.

Born, March 24, 1950, in Hanover, Rick was the son of the late Richard Leon, Sr. and Pauline Jeanette (Sneeringer) Brown. He was the loving husband to Delores J. (Ensor) Brown with whom he shared almost 44 years of marriage, until her death on January 2, 2018.

Rick attended and graduated from Delone Catholic High School in the class of 1968.

In his free time, Rick loved woodworking. He spent a lot of time on this hobby. He also enjoyed sitting in his easy chair watching TV and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Rick is survived by his three daughters: Stephanie I. Kleynen and companion Jeffrey Markey of Maryville, TN, Jennifer S. Belanger and companion Jon Burch of Hanover, and Melissa E. Groft and husband John of Hanover, five grandchildren: Kaitlyn Nelson, Nichole Lane, Alexis Belanger, Richard Markey, and Alayna Groft, and one great-grandchild on the way. Rick also leaves behind two siblings: Patrick Brown and Michelle Sheets. Rick was preceded in death by his son, Erick Richard Brown and one brother, Michael Brown.

Following cremation, burial will be held at 10 AM, Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church Cemetery.
