Rita Bernice Roschen
March 24, 1935 – May 8, 2026

Rita Roschen of Hanover, PA, formerly Sykesville, MD, passed away peacefully at Pappus House Hospice, Thomasville, PA on May 8, 2026, surrounded by her children after a long illness.

Born in Baltimore, MD on March 24, 1935, Rita was the daughter of William "Albert" and Lorraine Kline.

She was a devoted wife to Lewis Royer Roschen who passed in 1991, a devoted sister to brothers William "Bill" Kline (deceased), Myrna Harris (deceased), and Barbara Michalides of Hanover, PA.

Surviving are children Deborah Sparrow (Ron) of Hanover, PA, Pamela Thompson (Dave) of Westminster, MD, and Lewis Henry "Hank" Roschen (Jessica) of Littlestown, PA, as well as 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandkids.

In earlier times, Rita enjoyed family, grandkids, riding with Lew on their Goldwing motorcycle, bowling, Sunday night Old timers roller skating, Jeopardy, her group of lady friends called The Gaddabouts, a good cup of tea, and of course, Maryland steamed crabs.

As a way of honoring Rita's life, memorial contributions may be made to Pappus House; 66 Big Mount Rd.; Thomasville, PA 17364

Rita's life will be celebrated in private by her family.
