Robert L. "Bob" Martin, 81 of Hanover passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, July 23, 2025.  He was the beloved husband of 17 years to Maria T. (Crisfulli) Martin, whom he married on February 14, 2008.

Born June 25, 1944 in Baltimore, he was a son of the late Edward and Hazel  (Thompson) Martin.

Mr. Martin was a faithful member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Hanover, as well as Hanover Home, New Oxford Social Club, and a lifetime member of AMVETS.

In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by two sons: Robert Sean Martin and wife Carrie of Hanover and Daryl Ross Martin and partner Tina Harman of Hanover, as well as three grandchildren: Erin Martin, Emma Martin and Hunter Martin.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Jane Reynolds.

A funeral service to celebrate Bob's life will be held at 3pm on Friday, July 25th at Wetzel Funeral Home; 549 Carlisle St. in Hanover with Rev. Faye Snyder officiating.  Military Honors will be rendered by the Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard.  A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will also be on Friday at the funeral home from 2pm until the start of the service.
