Roger H. Lookingbill, Jr., 87, of Glen Rock, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 6, 2023 at WellSpan York Hospital, with his family by his side.  He was the loving husband of the late Marlene Lookingbill.

Born February 1, 1935 in Baltimore and raised in Pigtown, he was the son of the late Roger and Naomi Lookingbill.

Roger served in the United States Marine Corps and was a meat cutter for 50 years with Giant in Baltimore, serving as president of his local meat cutter's union.  He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed his many fishing trips on the Karen Ray II out of Crisfield, MD.  Always the bargain hunter, he liked going to BB's Grocery Outlet, Quarryville and to Shady Maple Farm Market.  Roger loved Orioles baseball, rooting for the Baltimore Ravens, playing poker and going to the senior center in Stewartstown.  He lived a good, long life, which he attributed to his love of bacon, which he ate several times a week.

He is survived by his children, Wendy Roche and husband Jim, Glen Rock, David Lookingbill and wife Julie, Baltimore, MD, Kenny Lookingbill and wife Cheryl, Jarrettsville, MD, Jason Lookingbill and wife Jennifer, Glen Rock and Josh Lookingbill, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Dawn Yingling and husband Joe, Hanover, Crystal Gibson and husband Keith, Abingdon, MD, Todd Lookingbill and wife Amy, Baltimore, MD, Brittney Baguley and husband Steven, Baltimore, MD, Nicole Kohlhepp, Catonsville, MD, Ashley Kohlhepp, Catonsville, MD and Morgan Allen, Baltimore, MD and great grandchildren, Tyler, Andrew, Brianna, Tucker, Josh, Taylor, Dustin, Payton, Acelyn and Haley.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Ed Freeburger.

A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will be on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 from 6 to 8 PM at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover.  A service will be held in the chapel at Bel Air Memorial Gardens, 809 Rock Spring Road, Bel Air MD at 1 PM on Thursday, January 12, 2023 followed by entombment in the mausoleum.
