On Sunday, June 23, 2024, Roland Lucian Chevillar "Chevy", 91, passed peacefully. Born and raised in Carroll County, MD, he was the youngest son of the late Alfred and Agnes (Launey) Chevillar. He is survived by his devoted wife of 74 years, Evelyn (McNeave) Chevillar. Also surviving is his son Kevin Chevillar and Grand Daughters, Jennifer (Chevillar) Luckabaugh, Erica (Chevillar) Sturtze, Brooke (Chevillar) Martin and Samantha (Chevillar) Ridgeway and their families. Roland is also survived by 7 Great Grandchildren that he adored. He is preceded in death by his sons, Gary L. Chevillar and David L. Chevillar, in addition to his siblings: Francis A. Chevillar, Maurice H. Chevillar and Margret A. (Chevillar) Crow.

He was a loyal and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a lover of sports and attended many of his children's and grandchild's sporting events through the years. He spent his time golfing and rooting for the Baltimore Orioles. He also enjoyed playing the lottery in hopes of winning the big jackpot.

Roland was employed at Hanover Foods for 47 years, from where he retired.

The family is respecting Roland's end of life wishes by honoring his life privately without a formal service.
