Rose M. (Wojciechowski) Pivec, 68 of McSherrystown passed away peacefully at Hospice & Community Care in Mt. Joy on Tuesday, August 23, 2022.
Born March 1, 1954, she was a daughter of the late August J. and Bertha C. (Polek) Wojciechowski.
Rose is fondly remembered as a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother and friend. She was a faithful servant to anyone in need. She was very proud of and committed to her Polish heritage, as well as her hometown of Baltimore. She loved Baltimore Sports, especially the Colts and Orioles, as well as the Maryland delicacy of crabs. She also enjoyed crocheting.
She is survived by 4 children: Christie Pivec-Keiser and her husband, Andrew of Willow Street, PA, Maj. Marcus Pivec and his wife, Courtney of Amherst, NH, Gregory Pivec and his wife, Emily of Angier, NC and John Pivec and his wife, Katie of Glen Rock, PA; 8 grandchildren: Jared, Elliott, Harrison, Josephine, Julia, Evelyn, Cecilia and Jacob; her brother, Steve Wojciechowski, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 grandchildren: Grayson, Adelin and Ethan.
A memorial service to celebrate Rose's life will be held at 10am on Saturday, September 24th in the St. Mary's Chapel at the National Shrine Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes; 16330 Grotto Rd; Emmittsburg, MD 21727.
