Ruth Anna (Caler) Geiman, 96, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2026, at Normandie Ridge Nursing Home in York. Born on March 25, 1930, in Hanover, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Amy Caler.

Ruth was the beloved wife of the late Gerald V. Geiman, whom she married on August 10, 1952. She lived in Hanover throughout most of her life before she and Gerald moved to Normandie Ridge in York in 2015.

Ruth attended Penn Street School and graduated from Eichelberger High School in 1949. A devoted wife and mother, she dedicated much of her life to caring for her family. She also worked part-time at Doubleday, Hanover Direct, and The Bon-Ton and later assisted a close friend with household cleaning.

A longtime member of Grace United Church of Christ in Hanover, Ruth had been part of the church community since 1944. Over the years, she helped in the nursery, participated in PAL (Provide a Lunch), was active with the Ladies of Grace, and contributed to Martha’s Ministry.

Ruth loved spending time with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed lunches, bus trips, visits to the beach, traveling to Bermuda, and cruising. She and Gerald also shared many happy Saturday evenings attending the races at Charlestown.

Ruth is survived by her children, Elizabeth Klineyoung and her husband, Kevin, Allen Geiman and his wife, Patricia, and Shane Geiman and his wife, Sandy, all of York; four grandchildren, Jordan Porter and spouse, Jerquanderick, Nick Geiman, Logan Geiman, and Noah Geiman; two great-grandchildren; her sister, Gloria Wintrode and her husband, Lee; and many nieces and nephews, all of whom brought her immense joy.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ruth was preceded in death by her son, Byron C. Geiman; two brothers, Guy and Clyde Caler; and her sister, Doris Caler.

A celebration of Ruth’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Grace United Church of Christ, 100 Fourth Street, Hanover, with Pastor Amy Fawkes officiating. Burial will be private at Rest Haven Cemetery in Hanover at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Church of Christ, 100 Fourth Street, Hanover, PA 17331.
