Samuel E. "Jr." Sipling, 79, of New Oxford passed away peacefully at his home in New Oxford on Monday, February 11, 2019.  He was the loving husband of Victoria C. (Staub) Sipling.  Together they shared 48 years of marriage.

Born December 8, 1939 in Hanover, he was a son of the late Samuel W. and Ardella L. (Becker) Sipling.

Jr. served a long career with Hanover Direct, retiring after 40 years.  He is remembered as a very generous man, as well as an avid yard sale enthusiast.  He especially enjoyed yardwork and gardening.

In addition to his wife, Jr. is survived by 2 daughters: Pamela Grissinger of Hanover and Debra Strickland of GA; 2 grandsons, 1 granddaughter and 1 great granddaughter; 3 siblings: Nancy Emlet, Tom Sipling and John Sipling, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, other family members and cherished friends.

In addition to his parents, Jr. was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Sipling.

A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will be on Friday, February 15 ^th from 9-10:30 am at Wetzel Funeral Home & Crematory; 549 Carlisle St., Hanover.  A graveside service will immediately follow at 11 am at Rest Haven Cemetery at the corner of Boundary Avenue and Westminster Road, Hanover with Pastor Lois Yauchzy officiating.
