Sandra M. Wentz, 72, of Hanover, passed away Friday, October 28, 2022 at ProMedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, York South with her family by her side.

Born September 5, 1950 in York, she was the daughter of the late Ivan Leroy and Doris Elva Alverta (Amspacher) Parr.

Sandra was employed at Sterner's Grocery, Hanover and was a manager at Sears for over 20 years at the Hanover and Westminster locations.  She also worked at Snyder's of Hanover, All State Insurance, Hanover, Pfaltzgraf, Thomasville and retired from Weaver's Body Shop, Brushtown.  Sandra was a Girl Scout leader for many years and enjoyed reading and playing cards; she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Donna Doll and husband Mike, Spring Grove, Ivan Wentz and companion Peggy Potter, Hanover and Tammy Sterner and husband Eric, Hanover; step-children, Mark Wentz, Gettysburg and Jodie Crone and husband Ryan, Dover; grandchildren, Marisa Buckley and companion Mike Smith, Mitchell Buckley and companion Gemini Richards, Melody Buckley, Isabella Wentz, Nathanial Wentz and Cayle Wentz and great grandchildren, Conor, Cayden, Grayson, Mitchell, Violet, Maci and Gabriel.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Ivan and Donald Parr.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, November 3, 2022 at 11 AM at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle Street, Hanover with Rev. Cindy Orewiler officiating.  A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will be on Thursday from 10 AM until the start of the service at the funeral home.  Burial will be at 2 PM in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, 250 Chestnut Hill Rd., York.
