Seamus C. Fogarty, 73 of Spring Grove, PA, passed away peacefully at Hanover Hospital on Monday, July 15, 2024.  He was the beloved husband of 18 years to Susan M. (Hoke) Fogarty.

Born May 14, 1951 in Killarney, Ireland, he was a son of the late John and Mary (Coakley) Fogarty.

Mr. Fogarty grew up in Killarney. He later resided in Kilcummin where he was an involved member of the Kilcummin Gun Club and an avid fan of Kerry football. He worked at Kerry Coaches prior to moving to the United States in 2005. After relocating to Spring Grove, PA, he worked for Wayneco and Del-Wood. He was an active member of the PA Rangers and Thurmont Riding Clubs. Seamus was known for his love of horses, dogs, gardening and hunting. He enjoyed spending his days with his wife Susan on their farm.

In addition to his wife, Seamus is survived by four children and thirteen grandchildren, as well as many other loving extended family and friends whom all reside in Ireland.

In addition to his family in Ireland, Seamus is survived by many loving family and friends in the U.S. including his step children William Brigham IV, Abigail & Troy VanderWeyden and their daughter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sheila Fleming.

A memorial service to celebrate Seamus' life will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024 at 1pm at Wetzel Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc.; 549 Carlisle St. in Hanover, PA with Rev. Dr. Daniel M. Yeiser officiating.  A time to share memories and visit with the family will also be on July 26, 2024 at the funeral home from 12pm until the start of the service.
