Sherry L. (Morningstar) Kirby, 59, of Hanover, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at her home. She was the loving wife of Wayne R. Kirby.

Born September 3, 1962 in Hanover, she was a daughter of Beverly E. (Kuhn) Morningstar of Hanover and the late George M. Morningstar.

Sherry was a loving wife, mother, sister and daughter; she loved her family and cherished spending time with them. Sherry was the previous owner of the Midway Hotel in Raystown and spent her time managing the bar and taking care of her home and flowers. In her free time, Mrs. Kirby enjoyed horseback riding, going to the lake and taking rides with Wayne on his motorcycle.

In addition to her husband and mother, Sherry is survived by two daughters, Lacey Star Weaver, Kaylin May Foor; two stepdaughters, Sara Ann Wallet, Kathleen Marie Kirby; two brothers, Donald Morningstar, Martin Morningstar and his wife Belinda; a granddaughter, McKalia McMurtie and many loving extended family members and friends.

There will be no public viewing. A graveside service to celebrate the life of Sherry will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at Rest Haven Cemetery at the intersection of Westminster and Boundary Ave., Hanover, PA with Rev. Mark Bowyer officiating.
