Sydney A. Kramer, of Hanover, Pennsylvania, passed away unexpectedly on August 5, 2026, at the age of 23.
Born on August 16, 2002, in Nampa, Idaho, Sydney brought kindness, compassion, and warmth to everyone fortunate enough to know her. She was the adored daughter of Timothy Kramer of Chelsea, New York, and Julee and Lee Kessler of Hanover, Pennsylvania.
Sydney dedicated her life to caring for others through her work as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She served residents in numerous assisted living and long-term care facilities throughout Pennsylvania, where her gentle heart, unwavering compassion, and commitment to providing comfort and dignity touched the lives of countless individuals and their families.
In addition to her parents, Sydney is survived by her beloved sister, Avery Kramer of Hanover, Pennsylvania; her maternal grandparents, Robert and Patricia Kidder of Lemont, Pennsylvania; her paternal grandparents, Paul and Marsha Kramer of Bellefonte, Pennsylvania; her
step-grandparents, Jim and Kathy Kessler of Hanover, Pennsylvania; her stepsiblings, Lainey and Brody Kessler of Hanover, Pennsylvania; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends who will forever cherish her memory, including best friends, Summer Bivins and Kayla Carson.
Sydney's caring spirit, generous heart, and quiet strength will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. In keeping with the selfless way she lived her life, Sydney chose to be an organ donor, giving others the hope of life even after her passing. Although her life was far too short, the love she shared and the countless lives she touched—including through her final act of generosity—will remain her lasting legacy.
A celebration of Sydney's life will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Wetzel Funeral Home in Hanover, Pennsylvania. Visitation with the family will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., with the service immediately following. Family and friends are invited to wear purple in honor of Sydney's memory and to show support for epilepsy awareness, a cause that was deeply meaningful to those who loved her. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the Epilepsy Foundation in Sydney's memory to support epilepsy research, education, and advocacy. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
