Troy A. Hawkins, Sr., 50 of New Oxford, PA, formerly of Baltimore, MD, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 18, 2022 in his home. He was the loving husband of Susan K. (Newell) Hawkins; together they shared 13 years of marriage.

Born February 22, 1972 in Baltimore MD, he was the son of John Joseph Hawkins, Sr. of New Oxford and the late Joyce Carole (Constantine) Hawkins who passed away in December of 2007.

Troy was an avid Ravens, Orioles, and Nascar fan. He loved classic rock music and all things seafood. He enjoyed many family vacations to Bird-in-Hand, and Dewey Beach, accompanied by his loving family.

In addition to his wife Susan, Troy is survived by his two sons, Troy A. Hawkins, Jr. of New Oxford and Nicholas R. Hawkins and his wife, Laura of Littlestown, his sister, Christina Ann Horney and her husband, Ken of Hanover, his brother, John J. Hawkins, Jr. of New Oxford, his grand-daughter, Emily Rose Hawkins, his niece, Crystal Lynn Crosman, his nephew, Kenneth M. Horney, Jr. and many other loving family members and friends.

A service to celebrate the life of Troy A. Hawkins, Sr. will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 25, 2022 at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, PA with the Rev. Kevin D. Orewiler officiating. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be on Sunday, April 24 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. as well as Monday April 25, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and then 6 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Troy's memory to Alcoholics Anonymous.
