Wade Lee Pittman, 58, of McSherrystown, entered God's eternal care on Monday, November 24, 2025, at UPMC Hanover Hospital.

Born January 16, 1967, in Hanover, Wade was the son of the late John Marlin Pittman, Sr., and Esther Irene (Shorb) Pittman.

Wade was a truck driver and was employed in the trucking industry with Gainey Transportation for many years.  He also worked for Domino's Pizza as a delivery driver as well.

In his free time, Wade enjoyed racing. He was active in dirt track and figure eight, sometimes racing at Trailways.  Wade could be referred to as a "numismatist", which is someone who studies and collects currency. He enjoyed studying and collecting coins and especially $2 bills. Most of all, Wade enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his two sons Joe and Dale, working outside and on cars.

In addition to his loving mother, Esther, Wade is survived by his four children: Joseph Wade Pittman of McSherrytown, Kaitlyn L. Kirk of New Tazewell, TN, Dale D. Pittman of McSherrystown, and Toni Jo Pittman of Middletown, PA, and 4 grandchildren: Colton, Aspen, Chloe, and Neyland.  Wade also leaves behind his 6 siblings: John D. Shorb, Michael L. Pittman, Marlena M. Grove, John M. Pittman, Jr., Londa Lea Pittman, and Mark Bradley.  Wade was preceded in death by his father, and two brothers: Larry R. Shorb, and David Pittman.

Following cremation, a Celebration of Life and time to visit and share memories with the family will be from 4-6 PM, Monday, December 1, 2025, at the Wetzel Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 549 Carlisle St, Hanover, PA 17331.
